Ten Steps to Greatness - 11 Poster Set

With the high school season winding down, wrestlers across the country will have to make plans on how to improve their skills before next year’s season starts. To help coaches motivate wrestlers, USA Wrestling’s National Coaches Education Program has a created a series of printable PDFs available on-line to help guide wrestlers on the path to greater achievement.

The eleven PDF “posters” outline the Ten Steps to Greatness that wrestlers should emphasize in their off-season training. Each poster has a written statement by a successful wrestler or coach that outlines some of their thoughts on the theme of the step.

Wrestlers and coaches will get to read Cael Sanderson’s thoughts on “Make the Commitment” and John Smith’s thoughts on “Compete with Intensity. Each of USA Wrestling’s National Teams coaches expresses their views as well. Kevin Jackson, National Freestyle Coach, discusses thoughts on the poster “Plan Out Your Year”. Steve Fraser encourages wrestlers to “Seek Out the Best”, and Terry Steiner makes sure that wrestlers set their goals.

USA Wrestling has provided this printable poster set as a service to the grass-roots community to promote and build the sport of wrestling nationally. The printable files are available in five different background colors to match with the schools’ colors.
