ASU's Misenheimer Named Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week

ASHEVILLE, NC - Appalachian State's Danny Misenheimer (Salisbury, N.C.) has been named the Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for January 24. Last week the freshman led the Mountaineers to wins in their first two Southern Conference meets. In a 24-14 win over Chattanooga, Misenheimer pinned A.J. Lyczkowski nine seconds into the second overtime of a 1-1 match. The following day he led off a 34-6 defeat of The Citadel with a pin of Troy Bartges. Misenheimer is 3-5 on the year with all three wins coming by pin. Appalachian is 3-2 on the year and hosts North Carolina Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Varsity Gym.
