Glass named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week



Note: To nominate a wrestler for TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week, send the athlete's name, accomplishments for the week and career accomplishments to John Fuller at jfuller@usawrestling.org Clark Glass (Brandon, Fla.) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for the week of March 29-April 4. Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level. Glass became the third winner of the coveted USA Wrestling Ultimate Dominator Award after finishing second at the 2005 Kids Folkstyle National Championships in the Schoolboy/Girl age division (born 1991-92). Glass finished with a total of 14,400 points, 1,200 points ahead of John Sims of Indiana, after the 10-tournament series. Glass also finished first in Division II (11-12 year-olds) in the 2004-05 Dominator Series. Overall, Glass competed in nine of the 10 events in USA Wrestling's Dominator Series.
