Manheim, PA - The National Wrestling Coaches Association is pleased to announce its annual convention will be held Sept. 15-18, 2005 at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y.
The convention, which is sponsored by Asics, Cliff Keen and Resilite, will give coaches of all levels a unique opportunity to develop their techniques as well as learn about the latest technology available to the wrestling world. Nearly all of the collegiate wrestling programs are scheduled to attend and it will be a weekend of wrestling discussion, technique tips and coaching education.
This year's convention features:
* Coaching education seminar presented by Steve Brennan, the founder and President of Peak Performance Consultants; Dr. Bill Moore, the President of Moore Performance Consulting; Bob Williams, Novations SDC Communications Practice Leader; and Greg Dale, Associate Professor and Sport Psychology Consultant at Duke University.
* Technique sessions presented by University of Michigan coach Joe McFarland, NWCA Division I Coach of the Year Rob Koll of Cornell, and Easton (Pa.) high school coach Steve Powell and long-time youth coach Dale Bonsall.
* Luncheon sponsored by Kennedy Industries and an ice cream social presented by Asics, Cliff Keen and Resilite
Other featured activities include a golf outing, giving coaches from around the country a chance to hit the links and cheat their scorecard at the Glen Oaks Country Club as well as an excursion to Niagara Falls and the Fallsview Casino.
Both activities require an additional fee above the registration costs.
Rooms at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo are limited, so coaches are encouraged to reserve their rooms by Aug. 13, 2005 to get the NWCA rates.
The NWCA has reserved a block of rooms, and rates are $109 for single or double occupancy; $119 for triple and quadruple occupancy.
Registration for the convention is $195 which includes the presentations and technique sessions as well as a complimentary gift.
