Hall of Fame to host All-Star Reunion alongside NWCA All-Star Classic in Stillwater, Okla., Nov. 21

STILLWATER, Okla. -- The National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum will host an All-Star Reunion in conjunction with the 30th NWCA Marines All-Star Classic at Oklahoma State University on Nov. 21. All former All-Stars and the public are invited to a pre-match social and reunion from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum. The cost for the Reunion Social is $10 per person and tickets can be purchased at the door. Following the reception, the NWCA Marines All-Star Classic begins at 7:00 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

"We have mailed invitations to those former All-Star participants for whom we could find an address," said Lee Roy Smith, Executive Director of the NWHOF. "Hopefully we will get a good response and they will be able to join us for the reunion. We are grateful to have two former all-star participants sponsoring this year's reunion social.

"Both Paul Martin (Boettcher, Martin, Jean, & Jackson Law Firm) from Ponca City, Okla. and Billy Martin (Martin Screen Prints & Embroidery) from Virginia Beach, Va. competed in the All-Star Classic in the 1970's. It's great to have both of these former Cowboy All-Americans contribute to one of the more memorable experiences a student-wrestler can have while competing in college."

Smith said the Hall of Fame's Board of Governors would like to make the Reunion Social and All-Star Trivia Challenge an annual event. The Trivia Challenge is a questionnaire to "test your knowledge" of NWCA All-Star Wrestling Classic history.

"Many of these participants are the future Legends of the sport," said Jim Keen Sr. Chairman of the Board of Governors. "It's a natural for the Hall of Fame to join the NWCA in making this a memorable event for the fans and participants."

Information on the Reunion/Social and the Trivia Challenge can be found on the NWHOF website at www.wrestlinghalloffame.org, the NWCA website at www.intermatwrestle.com, the USAW website at www.themat.com or by phone at 405-377-5243.
