IPTV’s 30th College Wrestling Season continues Jan. 7 with Oklahoma State at Iowa



Coverage of Oklahoma State at Iowa Begins at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, January 7

(Johnston, Iowa) - Iowa Public Television continues its tradition of providing quality coverage of college wrestling Saturday, January 7 at 8:30 p.m. when the Cowboys of Oklahoma State travel to Iowa City to take on the University of Iowa Hawkeyes in IPTV's College Wrestling coverage of the dual. As part of an agreement with the University of Iowa's athletic department, Iowa Public Television will broadcast the meet at 8:30 p.m., with a one-hour delay.

This year, IPTV is showcasing six top collegiate match-ups with coverage and expert commentary from several wrestling legends. Tim Johnson returns as IPTV's play-by-play announcer; legendary wrestler and coach Dan Gable returns as analyst; and national champion wrestler and coach Jim Gibbons returns as the matside reporter for the season.

College Wrestling can be seen statewide on all IPTV stations. For the rest of this season, viewers can see the following meets on Iowa Public Television:

* Oklahoma State @ Iowa on Saturday, January 7 at 8:30 p.m.

* Iowa State @ UNI on Sunday, January 22 at 2 p.m. (live)

* Illinois @ Iowa on Friday, February 10 at 7 p.m. (live)

* Missouri @ Iowa State on Sunday, February 12 at 2 p.m. (live)
