66 KG - BILL ZADICK (COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO./GATOR WC)

Gold-medal match: Zadick dec. Otari Tushishvili (Georgia), 1-2, 3-0, 1-0

First period
Georgia wrestler uses go-behind for takedown at 0:26. Zadick in deep on a double-leg shot, but Tushishvili counters effectively and works his way around for a takedown at 1:30. Zadick drives in on a shot and gains a pushout at 1:59.

Second period
Zadick scores one point on caution after Georgia wrestler grabs his singlet at 1:34. Zadick counters throw attempt and catches opponent on his back for two points exposure at 1:58.

Third period
No takedown in the first two minutes. Zadick wins the flip and takes advantage, transferring a single into a double to win the gold medal.

Semifinals: Zadick dec. Albert Batyrov (Belarus), 0-1, 1-0, 2-1

First period
Batyrov snap down and takedown at 1:19.

Second period
Zadick barrels in on double-leg and finishes for takedown at 1:23.

Third period
Zadick shoots in on a leg attack for a takedown at 0:36. Zadick keeps the pressure on and scores on a single-leg takedown at 1:17. Batyrov scores a meaningless takedown, slipping behind Zadick on a throw-by at 1:58.

Quarterfinals: Zadick dec. Fred Jessy (Nigeria), 2-2, 2-0

First period
Zadick scores on an early pushout to lead 1-0. Jessy scores on back-to-back leg attacks to lead 2-1. Zadick drives in and wins the period with a pushout at 1:41.

Second period
Zadick shoots in on leg attack and scores on a pushout at 0:21. Zadick hits a single-leg shot and finishes for a takedown at 1:06.

Second round: Zadick dec. Geandry Garzon (Cuba), 4-0, 1-4, 3-1

First period
Zadick counters for a takedown at 0:50. Zadick uses front headlock and spins around for takedown at 1:11. Zadick uses leg lace and exposure to lead 4-0 at 1:37.

Second period
Garzon spins behind in a scramble for a takedown at 0:32. Garzon hits single and dumps Zadick to mat for takedown at 1:21. Garzon adds two more points on tilt and exposure at 1:43. Zadick fires in on leg attack and scores a takedown at 1:57.

Third period
Garzon hits single-leg shot and finishes for takedown at 0:44. Zadick uses reverse body lock and turn for two points at 1:11. Zadick counters a shot and uses a go-behind for a takedown at 1:38.

First round: Zadick dec. Elar Hani (Estonia), 2-0, 4-0

First period
Zadick shoots in for a double-leg takedown at 0:43. Zadick uses a front headlock to spin behind for a takedown at 1:29.

Second period
Zadick counters shot and goes behind Hani for takedown at 0:27. Zadick follows with two leg laces at 0:30 and 0:36 to lead 3-0. He hits a single leg and finishes for a takedown at 1:18 to lead 4-0.

74 KG - DONNY PRITZLAFF (MADISON, WIS./NEW YORK AC)

Bronze-medal match: Pritzlaff dec. Murad Gaidarov (Belarus), 3-1, 1-0, 1-0

First period
Gaidarov spins behind for takedown on edge of the mat after a scramble at 1:08. Gaidarov hits a two-point gut-wrench at 1:18. Pritzlaff spins around for a takedown at 1:57.

Second period
No scoring in first two minutes. Pritzlaff wins flip. Pritzlaff takes single and drives Gaidarov out of bounds five seconds into the period.

Third period
Pritzlaff hits single and drives Gaidarov out of bounds at 1:31.

Repechage 2: Pritzlaff dec. Abdulkharim Shapiyev (Kazakhstan), 3-2, 3-0

First period
Pritzlaff shoots in on single and drives Shapiyev out of bounds for pushout at 0:16. Pritzlaff scores on single-leg takedown at 0:48. Shapiyev scores on pushout at 0:52 and again on a leg attack and pushout at 1:00. Needing a takedown to win the period, Pritzlaff hits single and gains pushout at 1:38.

Second period
Pritzlaff shoots in on single and finishes for takedown at 1:42. Pritzlaff is in on a single late and stacks his opponent at 1:59, gaining two points for exposure.

Quarterfinals: Ali Asgharbazrei (Iran) dec. Pritzlaff, 2-0, 1-1

First period
Iran wrestler shoots in on single and dumps Pritzlaff for takedown at 1:18. Iran wrestler pushes Pritzlaff out of bounds at 1:59.

Second period
Pritzlaff hits single and scores on pushout at 1:11. Iran wrestler scores pushout at 1:22.

Second round: Pritzlaff dec. Ryslan Kokaev (Armenia), 1-2, 2-1, 3-0

First period
Kokaev hits single and finishes for takedown at 0:18. He follows with another single for a takedown at 1:14. Prizlaff shoots in on single and scores on pushout at 1:50.

Second period
Pritzlaff shoots in on single and scores on pushout at 1:02. Kokaev hits single and eventually scores on pushout at 1:27. Pritzlaff shoots in on leg attack and drives Kokaev out of bounds on pushout at 1:43.

Third period
Pritzlaff shoots in on legs and drives Kokaev out of bounds for takedown at 0:12. Pritzlaff shoots in on a single and gains two-point exposure, catching Kokaev on his back after he tried to throw Pritzlaff.

First round: Pritzlaff pins Richard Addinall (South Africa), 3-1, pin 1:32

First period
Addinall grabs single and scores on one-point pushout at 0:31. Pritzlaff shoots in on single and hits succession of three straight leg laces at 1:02, 1:05 and 1:11 to take 3-1 lead.

Second period
Pritzlaff hits single and finishes for takedown at 0:22. Pritzlaff hits leg lace and gains exposure at 0:53 to lead 3-0. Pritzlaff scores on single-leg shot again at 1:11. Pritzlaff hits single and stacks Addinall for a fall at 1:32.

84 KG - ANDY HROVAT (ANN ARBOR, MICH./NEW YORK AC)

First round: Vadim Laliev (Armenia) dec. Hrovat, 2-2, 5-3

First period
Hrovat reverse body locks Laliev for two-point exposure at 1:40, but Laliev counters to gain two points for exposure at 1:43 to win period by virtue of scoring last.

Second period
Hrovat uses reverse body lock and turn for three points at 0:45 before Laliev reverses him for one point at 0:47. Laliev shoots in on leg attack and finishes on edge for takedown at 1:28. Laliev hits a double for a takedown at 1:44 and follows with a two-point gut-wrench at 1:52.
