With four events down and six to go, ASICS Ultimate Challenge Series action heats up in 2007

The 2006-2007 ASICS Ultimate Challenge of folkstyle wrestling is well underway, but six events still remain.

For the first time, there are now four age divisions. Jesse Thielke of Wisconsin, Noah Teaney of Missouri, Austin Reynolds of California, and Brayton Lee of Indiana are the leaders for their respective age divisions in the Ultimate Challenge Series at this point in the season.

The four events which have been wrestled are the California World Challenge, the Winter Classic, Dixie ASICS Nationals, and the U.S. Junior Open Championships.

Jesse Thielke leads in Division 4 (13-14 year olds) standings. He has scored a perfect 6400 points thus far by winning all four Ultimate Challenge tournaments. Thielke looks like a strong candidate to win his age division, as he was a 2006 USA Wrestling Triple Crown winner as a schoolboy.

Noah Teaney leads Division 3 (11-12 year olds) with 4400 points; Austin Reynolds leads Division 2 (9-10 year olds) with 2600 points, and Brayton Lee leads Division 1 (7-8 year olds) with 2200 points.

The following are the six events remaining on the docket for the 2006-2007 Ultimate Challenge.
