USA Wrestling Offers Kids Tour to Scotland



USA Wrestling is excited to offer for the first time an international wrestling tour for athletes 10-15 years of age. USA Wrestling will be traveling to beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland where wrestlers will participate in joint training sessions and an international tournament. The group will get outstanding instruction from top U.S. and European clinicians during the tour. Athletes will not only experience the thrill of representing the United States in an international tournament, but they will gain a valuable cultural and educational experiences. Athletes are encouraged to bring their moms, dads and siblings along and make it a vacation for the whole family. The tour will provide plenty of free time and several organized sightseeing excursions. Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is a breathtakingly beautiful city offering superb sightseeing. There are historic buildings to explore, quiet galleries and museums to intrigue you and many parks and gardens to stroll through. Edinburgh is home to the world famous Royal Botanical Gardens and the magnificent Edinburgh Castle. The group will also take a "Braveheart Tour" to Sterling, Scotland, which will feature a visit to the Wallace Monument and spectacular Sterling Castle. Tentative plans also include a trip to St. Andrews. The tour cost is estimated at $2,000 -$2,300 depending on the U.S. departure city. This price includes international airfare, meals, accommodation, ground transportation, wrestling and cultural activities. Wade Genova is the president of World Sports Alliance. Genova was an employee of USA Wrestling for 10 years, including five years as the International Exchange Manager.
