Tom Shaw, USA Wrestling's State Chairperson for Washington, died on Sunday, April 22

Tom Shaw of Marysille, Wash., the USA Wrestling State Chairperson for Washington, passed away on Sunday, April 22. Shaw was returning from Washington's Cadet and Junior State Tournament when he collapsed. Shaw served as USA Wrestling State Chairperson since 1994. He was a teacher and coach with the Marysville School District. "Wrestling has lost one of its true leaders," said USA Wrestling Executive Director Rich Bender. "He has given unselfishly to the sport, with the goal of providing wrestling opportunities in the Northwest. He will truly be missed by the entire USA Wrestling family." USA Wrestling has received no other details concerning funeral arrangements at this time. They will be posted when available.
