World Cup champion Kerry Boumans to give clinic at South Carolina Greco & Freestyle State Champions



SC-USA Wrestling proudly announces that 2001 World Cup Champion and Team USA #2 Ranked Freestyle member Kerry Boumans [58kg/127.75lbs.] will be our guest clinician at this weekend's 2001 South Carolina Greco & Freestyle Wrestling State Championships to be held at Spring Valley High School in Columbia,S.C. Mr. Boumans' visit has been coordinated through the USA Wrestling's Athlete Appearance Program. Boumans was a 2000 U.S. Nationals champion, and placed second in the 2000 Olympic Team Trials. He was a 2001 U.S. Nationals runner-up, and recently won the gold medal at the World Cup held in Baltimore, Md. Boumans is a U.S. Olympic Training Center resident athlete, and is a native of Louisiana. Note for all SC Coaches: Kerry Boumans' clinic will count toward completion of your Bronze Certification, as a part of the National Coaches Education Program(NCEP). For those interested wrestling enthusiasts, please help welcome 2001 World Cup Champion Kerry Boumans to South Carolina. He will be arriving on Friday May 18th on Delta flight# 340 at 3:36PM at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. See you there! P.S. Saturday morning weigh-ins are from 8AM till 9:15AM Sharp!
