Holm knocked off 2010 World champion Hristo Marinov of Bulgaria 0-3, 3-0, 2-0 to key the U.S. to a 4-3 dual-meet win over a team of international stars at the Curby Cup on Saturday in La Grange, Ill.

Holm, who won the U.S. Open last month, delivered a key win in the Greco-Roman dual at 84 kg/185 lbs. Teammates Justin Ruiz and Dremiel Byers followed with victories to rally the U.S. to a win before more than 1,000 fans at Lyons Township High School.

Holm will be the No. 1 seed for next month’s U.S. World Team Trials in Oklahoma City.

The Curby Cup is held in memory of the late Jacob Curby, a U.S. National Team member who passed away last year at age 25.
