Conrad Rangell named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Sept. 20-26

Conrad Rangell (Clovis, Calif./Fresno City College) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Sept. 20-26.

Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Rangell, a returning state champion at 149 pounds, followed up his Outstanding Wrestler performance at the Sac City Invitational on Sept. 17 with the championship at the Golden Eagle Invitational on Sept. 24.

At the Golden Eagle tournament, he won in convincing fashion and did not relinquish a point.

Rangell is currently 7-0 with four technical falls and two falls this season.
