"Trent is a very important part of our future vision of the Cyclone Wrestling Club," said McCall. "We are working to build the proper foundation to bring in Olympic and World level wrestlers to ISU and adding Trent Paulson as our CWC head wrestling coach and fundraiser will help our vision become a reality."

After completing a stellar All-American career at Iowa State where he won the National Championship, Paulson continued competing and captured the crown at the US Open and became a World Team Member. Those seven athletes will assist me in mentoring, teaching and pushing current Cyclone athletes to pursue higher levels of excellence. I will pursue senior athletes that not only can make World and Olympic Teams but also athletes that will represent the CWC, Iowa State, and the community well."

In his new role, Paulson will work to increase memberships, corporate partnerships and high level donations for the Club as well as focus on recruiting, retaining and training Olympic hopefuls at Iowa State through the Cyclone Wrestling Club.
