| Jeff Ragan named Assistant Wrestling Coach at The Citadel |

CHARLESTON, SC - Jeff Ragan, a former all-American at Oklahoma State, has been named an assistant wrestling coach at The Citadel, announced Thursday by Bulldog head coach Rob Hjerling. Ragan replaces Willie Stravino, who departed the program after a one-year stint to pursue teaching and coaching opportunities in Northern Virginia. "I am very excited to have someone of Jeff's caliber and background become a part of the coaching staff," Hjerling said. "Jeff will be active with all of the coaching duties and he will be helpful especially in the training of our light and middle weight classes." Ragan graduated from Oklahoma State in May of 2000 with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. A four-year letterman in wrestling, Ragan was a member of three Big XII Conference championship teams while posting an overall record of 101-43. As a senior, the Englewood, FL native went 31-12, captured the Big XII Conference individual crown in the 125-pound weight class and finished sixth at the NCAA Championships to earn all-America honors. A four-time Big XII All-Academic Team selection, Ragan was named the Oklahoma State Male Student-Athlete-of-the-Year in 2000 and was tabbed to the National Wrestling Coaches Association's Academic All-America team. In addition, he became just the 19th wrestler in Oklahoma State history to register 100 career victories. As a prep, Ragan posted a 103-5 overall record at Lemon Bay High School, winning a pair of Florida state championships and earning Outstanding Wrestler honors as a senior in 1995. "I believe Jeff will play a key role in helping our young program mature," Hjerling continued. "He will be instrumental as we strive to achieve our goal of becoming the best wrestling program possible." Ragan, who also will work in The Citadel's mathematics department, is married to the former Andrea Denise Clark.
