The best military wrestlers from across the world, including many international wrestling stars, will battle for medals in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. Over 18 nations are expected to participate, including world powers such as Russia, the United States, Turkey, China and Germany. Other confirmed nations include Finland, Croatia, Slovakia, France, Greece, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and the Guinea Republic.
