USA Wrestling honors 33 Gold Medal Clubs in 1999-2000 season

A total of 33 USA Wrestling sanctioned clubs, from all across the United States, have met the standards to be honored as "Gold Medal Clubs" for the 1999-2000 season. With 33 "super" clubs honored, the 2000 season marks the highest number of clubs recognized since the program's inception in 1998. Clubs are required to submit an application marking the improvement in membership numbers, participation in events and state programs, and participation by club members in USAWrestling's Coaches Education Program and the United States Wrestling Officials Association. This is considered the top honor for a USA Wrestling sanctioned club. Each of these clubs are doing their part in helping wrestling grow by providing quality wrestling programs in their community. All USA Wrestling clubs are encouraged to apply for this honor. Each USA Wrestling club will receive an application with the requirements for the program in its Club Packet when the club is sanctioned this year.
