Wrestling For Peace
Purpose
The purpose of the USA Wrestling for Peace (USAW4P) program is to promote wrestling as a positive force in local, national and global communities.
The sport of wrestling can cultivate stronger international ties which in turn can enhance the future of wrestling as an Olympic sport.
We must act with meaning and purpose in the global public sphere, as well as engaging influential decision-makers who can enhance relations.

USA Wrestling for Peace works alongside United World Wrestling to identify global communities in need of wrestling programs to enhance established programs or create programs to benefit at risk youth worldwide. Many of our recent visits/programs have included Puerto Rico, Livingston, Guatemala, and Aman Jordan. Ambassador Dan Russell has worked closely with the wrestling program in Jordan and has now established a women’s wrestling program in the area. This is quite a feat in the region and a win for women’s wrestling! Our staff also conducts clinics and coaching during our visits.
Alongside sponsors, such as Suples, Dollamur, and Nike, apparel donor Barbarian Clothing, and donors like you, we have been able to supply these areas with mats, wrestling dummies, Bulgarian bags, singlets, and much needed shoes. Will you consider partnering with us on our next adventure to El Salvador? We are in desperate need of gently used or new wrestling shoes and singlets and funding for the program.
