Coaches Certifications Levels

Coaches must be current USA Wrestling Leader Members to take Copper and Bronze certification courses or to have task credits awarded for Silver and Gold certification work.

USA Wrestling recommends a Copper Level Coaches Certification to coach athletes ages 12 and under and a Bronze Level Coaches Certification to coach athletes ages 13 and up.

Copper and/or Bronze coach certifications are required to coach at all USA Wrestling Regional and National Level events based on the age of the athlete you will coach.

Contact your state USA Wrestling Office or the tournament director for the event you wish to coach for info on what certification(s) may be required to coach.
