How to Make a National Team
Senior National Team
Teams in each discipline are determined by placings at the World Team Trials (also known as Final X) in non-Olymic years. In Olympic years, the team is determined by placings at the Olympic Team Trials. The top 3 ranked athletes at each weight and each style receives a monthly financial stipend from USA Wrestling based on rank.
Age Group National Teams
Boys: 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U
Teams are announced based on a Top 3 placement at the following events:
- Folkstyle Nationals (8U -Junior)
- Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman Nationals (8U-14U)
Mens: 16U and USA Junior
Teams are announced based on a Top 3 placement at the following events:
- Folkstyle Nationals (8U -Junior)
- 16U & Junior Nationals
Girls: 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U
Teams are announced based on a Top 3 placement at the following events:
- Girls Folkstyle Nationals (8U -Junior)
- Women's Freestyle Nationals (8U-14U)
Women: 16U and USA Junior
Teams are announced based on a Top 3 placement at the following events:
- Girls Folkstyle Nationals (8U -Junior)
