#GrecoMonday: J'den Cox vs. Kyle Snyder in Fargo
by Mike Willis, USA Wrestling
Before J’den Cox and Kyle Snyder established themselves as two of the best men’s freestyle wrestlers on earth, the pair battled in Greco-Roman in Fargo. In fact they did it twice, once during the 2011 Cadet finals and once in 2012 as Juniors.
Cox was the victor in 2011, while Snyder brought home the title in 2012. Cox lost to Snyder before the finals and would take third in 2012.
The pair also faced off in freestyle both years with Snyder winning in 2011 and Cox winning in 2012, the opposite of their Greco-Roman results.
Today, Snyder is an Olympic gold medalist, three-time World finalist, and two-time World champion, while Cox is an Olympic bronze medalist, World champion and World bronze medalist.
Fargo Nationals start on Saturday, July 13 and will be streamed live on Flowrestling.
