Carolina Beach where the 2024 Beach Nationals were held in May.
For the first time ever, the USA Beach Nationals are heading to the West Coast! Join us for an unforgettable tournament featuring top competitors of all levels. An event for all ages, everyone can come enjoy the sand, sun, and fun of the USA Wrestling Beach National Championships in Huntington Beach, California.
The one-day tournament will take place on Saturday, August 17th, at Huntington Beach, located at 315 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.
The day will kick off with registration and weigh-ins for all divisions, including any age group competitors who did not weigh in on Friday, and all Senior, U17, and U20 participants. The welcome and introduction/opening ceremonies will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a mandatory rules clinic for all competitors at 10:45 a.m. The age-group competition will start at 11:00 a.m. and continue until its conclusion, while the U17, U20, and Senior division competition will commence at noon. 2024 USA Beach Nationals Divisions
The following age-group weight class Champions determines U.S. age-group World Teams at the World Championships. The top three finishers in each age/weight category qualify for World Team spots. Senior qualification is for upcoming Beach Wrestling World Series Events. Top three finishers in the U17 and U20 divisions will be eligible for the 2025 World Championship events.
U17 (Male): (Born 2007-2009) - 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 80+ kg
U17 (Female): (Born 2007-2009) - 40 kg, 50kg, 60 kg, 70+ kg
U20 Freestyle (Male): Born 2004-2007 - 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, 90+ kg
U20 Freestyle (Female): Born 2004-2007 - 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 70+ kg
Senior Men: (Born 2006 or Before) 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, 90+ kg
Senior Women: (Born 2006 or Before) 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 70+ kg
2024 Beach World Team Selection Procedures
The two qualifying events for 2024 U.S. Beach World Series teams be the Carolina Beach Nationals in Carolina Beach, N.C., May 11, 2024, and the 2024 Beach Wrestling National Championships in Huntington Beach, Calif.
The format of the two qualifiers will be a double elimination bracket, with placement of the top four athletes. The championship finals in each weight class will be a best-of-three series.
Athletes who meet the following standards will sit out until the quarterfinals of the tournament in the bottom bracket:
1) Athletes who placed in the top three in the final rankings from the 2023 Beach World Series at the specific weight class
2) Athletes who won a medal (top three) at any 2023 Beach World Series event
3) Athletes who were 2023 Senior Pan American Beach Wrestling champions
There are up to three spots in each weight class for the USA team at each Beach World Series event.
