INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA has released updated standings for the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Awards that will be awarded in March at the respective Division I, II and III Wrestling Championships.

The inaugural NCAA Wrestling Awards were presented at the 2012 wrestling championships. The three awards, given in each division, honor the Most Dominant Wrestler as well as the student-athletes that have accumulated the most falls and the most technical falls throughout the course of the regular and postseasons.

For falls and tech falls to be counted for the awards they must come against opponents in the same division (i.e. Division II vs. Division II). Ties in the two categories are broken based on the aggregate time.

There is no change atop Division I falls this week. Lehigh’s Kelvin Griffin still leads with 15 falls on the season in 45:31. Brian Soldano of Rutgers is second with 12 falls and heavyweights Daulton Mayer of Bellarmine and Cory Day of Binghamton each have 10 a piece.

In Division II, Newman’s heavyweight Caleb Wunsch still leads the way with 12 falls in 31:52.  Giulian Bodiu of Findlay and Trent Mahoney of King (Tennessee) each picked up one fall to remain tied for second with 10 each.

There is now a three-way tie for the Division III lead.  Messiah heavyweight Micah Martinez secured three falls this week to take the lead with 18 in 36:48. Myles Leonard of Springfield gained two for a total of 18 in 36:58 and Alaq Dowd-Grant of Castleton kept steady at the same number.

In Division I tech falls, Purdue’s 125-pounder Matt Ramos now has company at the top.  He is now tied with 165-pounder Mitchell Messenbrink of Penn State with 11.

Isham Peace of Lander is in a three-way tie for the Division II lead with eight tech falls. Drury’s 157-pounder Will Kuster and Max Ramberg of Augustana (South Dakota) also have eight.

In Division III, last week’s top two remain tied.  SUNY Oneonta’s Avery Leonard and Johnson & Wales (Providence) 125-pounder Joziah Fry each gained two tech falls to bring their total to 17 each.

The initial Most Dominant Wrestler standings will be released later this season to allow wrestlers to achieve the minimum number of matches required to be eligible for the standings.
