PRINCETON, N.J. — The Ivy League has announced the pre-seeds and brackets in advance of the inaugural Ivy League Wrestling Tournament on Sunday, March 9 at Princeton's Jadwin Gymnasium.
Cornell, the 2024-25 Ivy League dual meet champions, lead the way with six No. 1 seeds as Tyler Ferrera claimed the top spot at 133 pounds following an 11-4 overall record and a 3-0 record in Ivy League duals. Ferrera's teammate, Meyer Shapiro, last year's Ivy League Rookie of the Year, earned the top seed at 157 pounds with a 9-1 overall record and an undefeated record in Ivy League duals. The Big Red earned the No. 1 seed in 165 (Julian Ramirez), 174 (Simon Ruiz), 184 (Chris Foca), and 285 (Ashton Davis) as well.
Penn earned a pair of No. 1 seeds as the Quakers' CJ Composto (141) and Cross Wasilewski (149) both recorded 20-plus win seasons and finished the conference season undefeated, each at 5-0.
Princeton was the only other school to have No. 1 seeds, earning two of them, as Marc-Anthony McGowan (125) and Luke Stout (197) both sit atop their respective weight classes.

In the first year of the Ivy League Wrestling Tournament, the conference garnered 26 automatic berths, the fourth-most among all conferences, for the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships, which will be held March 20-22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

First-round action kicks off on Sunday, March 9 at 10 a.m. followed by the semifinals at 12 p.m. The consolation brackets begin at 2:30 p.m. with the consolation semifinals followed by the consolation finals and fifth-place matches at 4 p.m.
Championship matches begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the awards presentation. All action can be found of ESPN+.
