by Taylor Gregorio, USA Wrestling

Tickets are now available for Beat the Street LA’s Benefit Gala and International Wrestling Event, which is set for Dec. 17-18 in Los Angeles, California.

The weekend will serve as a 10th anniversary celebration of the organization. Founded 10 years ago with a mission to empower and transform the lives of youth, Beat the Streets LA has always been about more than wrestling and competitions — it’s about nurturing a sense of community and confidence that makes anything seem possible. Since its earliest days, Beat the Streets LA has lived up to that mission.

“In our 10th year, Beat the Streets - Los Angeles is proud to present such a special event that highlights the nature of the extraordinary bonds created through wrestling and the track record of impact by our organization,” Board Chairman and Founder of Beat the Streets Los Angeles Andy Barth said.

The Gala will kick off the weekend on Saturday night, followed by the International Wrestling Event on Sunday at the Barth Athletic Complex in San Marino.

Headlining the wrestling event will be a friendly women’s freestyle competition between USA and Ukraine. There will also be senior level men's matches with lineups that are to be determined.

The U.S. women’s freestyle lineup is highlighted by Amit Elor, who made history this year becoming the first American to win three World titles in one season, claiming gold at the U20, U23 and Senior levels. She is joined by 2019 World champion Jacarra Winchester and two-time World medalist Mallory Velte. Add in U23 World medalists Alex Hedrick and Dymond Guilford and 2021 Senior World fifth-place finisher Amy Fearnside for an incredible USA roster.

For Ukraine, it’ll feature Senior World bronze medalists Oksana Livach and Alina Hrushyna, who is also a U23 World champion, as well as U23 World bronze medalists Liliya Malanchuk, Anastasiia Osniach and Ilona Prokopeveniuk. Rounding out the lineup is Tokyo Olympian Alla Belinska.

Tickets for the wrestling event are on sale now for $50.
