U.S. athletes must get UWW licenses by November 3 to compete in Bill Farrell Memorial International

The Bill Farrell Memorial International, held at the world-famous New York Athletic Club in Manhattan, New York City, is set for November 17-18. This is a competitive international event which features athletes from many nations in men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle and Greco-Roman.
But, for U.S. athletes, it is also a qualifier for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials set for Penn State in April.
For all three styles, the procedures are the same: “the highest placed Senior athlete per weight category, that places in the top 4, who has yet to qualify, will earn a spot in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Wrestling.”
If you are a U.S. athlete and plan on competing in the Bill Farrell Memorial International, YOU MUST GET YOUR UWW LICENCE THIS WEEK!!!
Important Information:
U.S. Athletes must have two (2) different memberships:
1) Current USA Wrestling Athlete Membership for 2023-24 season
2) 2023 United World Wrestling License.
UWW Rules:
Per UWW regulations, all competitors are required to have current 2023 UWW license. Wrestlers must purchase their UWW license in 2023 prior to the Bill Farrell International Open, please bring your personal UWW card. UWW Licenses CANNOT BE SOLD ONSITE.

IN ORDER TO PURCHASE LICENSE WRESTLERS WILL HAVE TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:
1) Annual medical certificate (Click HERE)
2) Digital headshot
3) Copy of U.S. Passport (NO EXCEPTIONS)
4) Credit Card Info. (Visa/Mastercard)
Once a U.S. athlete has purchased USA Wrestling membership and their UWW License they can enter the event at www.usawmembership.com. After U.S. athlete’s register in the USA Wrestling membership system, they will be added to Athena. Athena registration closes on November 8th.
Foreign athletes must reach out to their federation to receive permission to compete at the Bill Farrell and to be registered in Athena by their federation. Athena registration closes on November 8th.
Athletes who fail to obtain a 2023 UWW license will not be allowed to compete. There are no exceptions to this rule.
