Iaromir Zhukovskii named named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare

Iaromir Zhukovskii (Lake Zurich, Ill./Built By Brunson Wrestling) has been named the USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare, on July 3, 2024.
Competing at 77 pounds in the 10U division, Zhukovskii earned the prestigious USA Wrestling Triple Crown award by securing titles in folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman in 2024. He capitalized on a national title in folkstyle that he earned in January, winning titles in both freestyle and Greco-Roman last week in Iowa.
Zhukovskii’s dominance in freestyle was evident as he went 4-0, with three of his victories coming by technical fall and one by decision. In Greco-Roman action, Zhukovskii also went 4-0, with three technical falls and an opening round pin in just 17 seconds.
The prestigious USA Wrestling Triple Crown is awarded to wrestlers who win national titles in folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman during the same year. The first leg of the Triple Crown was held at the Kids Folkstyle Nationals in Fort Wayne, Ind., on January 27-28.
