Wrestling to be showcased on Olympic Trials Special on NBC, Saturday June 8 at 2 p.m. ET

USA Wrestling has been informed by NBC that action from the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Wrestling will be prominently featured on an U.S. Olympic Team Trials Special, scheduled to air on NBC on Saturday, June 8 from 2:00 p.m – 4:00 p.m. Eastern time.

The show will feature wrestling, plus will include action and previews from other sports. Wrestling will get a healthy portion of the show’s programming.

The show will air five of the series clinching matches from the finals Championship Series

57 kg women’s freestyle - Helen Maroulis vs. Jacarra Winchester

69 kg women’s freestyle - Amit Elor vs Forrest Molinari

97 kg women’s freestyle - Kyle Snyder vs. Isaac Trumble

86 kg men’s freestyle - Aaron Brooks vs. David Taylor

74 kg men’s freestyle - Kyle Dake vs. Jason Nolf

Maroulis, Elor, Snyder, Brooks and Dake won their series and qualified for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team. Maroulis and Snyder were 2016 Olympic champions and are two-time Olympic medalists, heading to their third Olympics in Paris in August. Dake was a 2020 Olympic bronze medalist and four-time World champion. Elor and Brooks will compete in their first Olympic Games. Elor is a two-time Senior World champion.

These bouts initially were aired on April 20 on USA Network and Peacock.

The USA will send 15 athletes to compete in wrestling at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, full six-athlete teams in men’s and women’s freestyle, plus three Greco-Roman wrestlers. The dates of the wrestling competition at the Olympic Games are August 5-11 on the NBC family of networks, with specific information to be announced soon.
