Maccabi USA Wrestling will host a national-level tournament for Jewish wrestlers in the UWW U17 and Senior age groups on April 6, 2025 at the Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood, Pa.

The Lions of Judea tournament will be contested in freestyle only and use the United World Wrestling weight classes at the U17 age group and at the Senior level (in the six Olympic weight classes).

Maccabi USA is working hard to develop and promote wrestling within Jewish communities in hopes of continued success at the World Maccabiah Games in Israel.

Tournament Date and Site: Kaiserman JCC, 46 Haverford Rd., Wynnewood, Pa, on April 6, 2025

Weight Classes:

Men U17 (Born 2008-2010): 50 kg, 53 kg, 55 kg, 57 kg, 59 kg, 62 kg, 65 kg, 68 kg, 72 kg, 76 kg

Men Seniors (Born Before 2007): 57kg, 65kg, 74kg, 86kg, 97kg, 125kg

Entry Fee: $25 per wrestler. ALL wrestlers must have a current USA Wrestling membership. Memberships are only offered online at USA Wrestling Membership Site https://www.usawmembership.com/login

Schedule

7:00 – 8:00 a.m. – Weighins

9:00 – 10: a.m. – Clinic

10:00 a.m. – Competition through conclusion

There will be a special function on Saturday night, April 5, entitled Lions of Judea: 50 years of wrestling as a Mirror of Israel, also held at the Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood, Pa., starting at 7:00 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Amit Elor, a 2024 Olympic gold medalist in women’s freestyle and two-time Senior World champion for Team USA.
