The 2024 16U National Duals Freestyle All-Tournament Team has been announced, based upon results from the 16U National Duals freestyle division, held in Herriman, Utah on Friday and Saturday.
Athletes who went undefeated in their dual meet matches in freestyle qualified for the All-Tournament Team, needing a minimum of five victories to be included.
In freestyle, there were 45 athletes on the Freestyle All-Tournament Team, representing 23 different states.
Oklahoma had the most athletes on the Freestyle All-Tournament team with five. California, the champion team, was next with four wrestlers on the All-Tournament Team. States with three All-Tournament team members were Georgia, Minnesota, Iowa and Oregon. Those states with two members on the team were Maryland, Missouri, Arizona, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Indiana and North Dakota. Finishing with one All-Tournament team member were Virginia, South Dakota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Idaho, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, Nebraska and Kansas.
One wrestler had a perfect 9-0 record for the freestyle event, Tucker Nelson of North Dakota.
There were 17 wrestlers who had 8-0 records for the freestyle tournament: Stephano Calderon of South Carolina (88), Corey Brown of Maryland (100), Maxwell Bradley of the Oklahoma Outlaws Blue (106), Jensen Boyd of Indiana (113), Montero Royal of South Carolina (113), Van Smith of the Oklahoma Outlaws Blue (120), Gage Lohr of South Dakota (126), Brooks McCollom of the Oklahoma Outlaws Blue (126), Jet Brown of Missouri (132), Cade Aaberg of Wisconsin (144), Drake Morrison of Idaho (144), Jackson Weller of New Jersey (144), Isaac Orillion of Louisiana (150), Cooper Rowe od Minnesota Blue (157), Salah Tsarni of Maryland (165), Carter Brown of Missouri (175) and Carter Johnson of North Dakota.
There were eight wrestlers who were All-Tournament Team members in both styles: Onofre Gonzales of Colorado (88), Ariah Mills of Georgia (88), Liam Collins of Minnesota Blue (113), Drake Morrison of Idaho (144), Salah Tsarni of Maryland (165), Leif Larwin of Oregon (175), Isai Fernandez of California and, Carter Green of Kansas (215).
