U.S. Beach Nationals return to Carolina Beach, N.C., May 10 with berths on U.S. World Teams up for grabs

The 2025 Beach Wrestling season has begun!!! Wrestlers of all ages are beginning their preparation for the 2025 U.S. Beach National Championships, which returns to Carolina Beach, N.C. on May 10.
This is the annual national championships for Beach Wrestling in 17 divisions, from 8U through Masters. There will be competition for both men and women, with national titles and All-American honors awarded.
This will be the 20th anniversary of the first U.S. Beach Nationals, which was created in 2006 in Riviera Beach, Florida. It will also be the 10th time the U.S. Beach Nationals has been held in Carolina Beach, N.C., the most of any city.
Register for the 2025 U.S. Beach Nationals
The 2025 U.S. Nationals in Carolina Beach is the qualifier for the 2025 U17 and U20 U.S. Beach World Teams, and part of the qualifying process for the U.S. Senior Beach World Series teams.
The 2025 U17 and U20 Beach World Championships will be held September 25-26, at a site to be determined by United World Wrestling. The official weight classes and eligibility for the U17 and U20 Beach World Championships are below.
U17 (16-17 years old**)
Boys: 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, 80kg
Girls: 45 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg, 75 kg (new weights)
** U17 (from 15 with medical and parental certificate)
Note: UWW changed the U17 Women’s weights this year, adding 5 kg to each division
U20 (18-20 years old***)
Men: 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, +90kg
Women: 50 kg, 60 kg, 70 kg, +70 kg
*** U20 (from 17 with medical and parental certificate)
The 2025 UWW Senior Beach World Series will be held in five locations this year. The 2025 U.S. Beach Nationals is one of the qualifying events for U.S. teams competing in the Beach World Series. Four of the five locations have been set for this year: Monterrey, Mexico (May 12-13), Porec, Croatia (May 31-June 1), Casablanca, Morocco (September 6-7) and the Beach World Series Final in Alexandria, Egypt (October 18-19). The fourth stop of the Beach World Series will be held September 27-28 at a location to be announced.
2025 Beach Wrestling Team Procedures
While these qualifying events are an important part of the U.S. Beach Nationals, this is a multi-age competition which offers national competition from youth through Masters wrestlers.
The specific age divisions for the U.S. Beach Nationals are: 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 8U, High School: 9th-12th grade, Masters A, Masters B, Masters C, Masters D, Masters E, Masters F, Senior Men Beach, Senior Women Beach, U17 Men’s Beach, U17 Women’s Beach, U20 Men’s Beach, U20 Women’s Beach.
Beach wrestling is a competitive and fun way for wrestlers to improve and challenge themselves. Beach wrestling is growing across the nation.
