What to Watch: Week 11 of the College Wrestling Season

As Week 11 of the college wrestling season kicks off, many teams begin their conference schedules, gearing up for some of the most intense matches of the season. Wrestling fans won’t want to miss the NWCA National Duals happening in Iowa this weekend, where teams from five divisions are set to compete.

NWCA National Duals

Date: January 10-11, 2025

Time: 10 a.m. CT

Location: UNI-Dome, Cedar Falls, Iowa

Where to Watch: FloWrestling

Teams from multiple divisions travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the annual NWCA National Duals. Competition begins on Friday, January 10, and continues into Saturday. Lehman Open

Franklin and Marshall hosts the 12th annual Lehman Open on Friday. The one-day tournament begins at 9 a.m. ET in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at the Alumni Sports and Fitness Center. Teams slated to compete in the event include Air Force, Army West Point, Buffalo, Campbell, Cleveland State, Columbia, Franklin & Marshall, Harvard, Hofstra, Kent State, LIU, Lock Haven, Navy, Penn, Princeton and VMI. No. 6 Minnesota at No. 9 Nebraska

Date: January 11, 2025

Time: 3:30 p.m. CT

Location: Devaney Center, Lincoln, Neb.

Where to Watch: Big Ten Network

The Huskers host the Minnesota Gophers at the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Saturday. Nebraska is 5-1 overall and ranked ninth in the latest NWCA Division I Men’s Wrestling Coaches Poll. Following a tough loss to Northern Iowa in their previous matchup, the Huskers open conference action against a strong Minnesota team. The Gophers are 4-0 on the season, and are coming off of a third place team finish at the Soldier Salute. If you’re a fan of Big Ten wrestling, you’re going to want to tune in to this top-10 matchup on Saturday afternoon.

No. 5 NC State at No. 3 Oklahoma State

Date: January 12, 2025

Time: 2 p.m. CT

Location: Gallagher-Iba Arena, Stillwater, Okla.

Where to Watch: EPSN+

It’s a top five matchup between two of the strongest teams in college wrestling on Sunday as No. 5 NC State makes its way to Gallagher-Iba Arena to battle No. 3 Oklahoma State. The Wolfpack is 6-0 overall this season, with a win over No. 12 Cornell before the holiday break. NC State will take on Duke to open ACC action on Friday at home prior to their dual against Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are having an incredible season and hold a record of 7-0. A potential matchup between 2023 U23 World Champions Isaac Trumble and Wyatt Hendrickson could be in store for fans at 285 pounds. The pair last met in the finals of the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational earlier in the season, with Hendrickson winning by fall at 2:35.

Ursinus Duals

Date: January 12, 2025

Time: 11 a.m. ET

Location: Floy Lewis Bakes Center, Collegeville, Pa.

In Women’s wrestling this week, Ursinus hosts 11 teams for the Ursinus Duals. The following teams will head to Collegeville, Pennsylvania, on Sunday to compete: Cedar Crest, Marymount, Delaware Valley, Muhlenberg, D’Youville, East Stroudsburg, Felician, Gannon, Misericordia, New England and York (Pa.).
