Appalachian State's Will Miller reached the finals of the 2025 SoCon Championships in Asheville, N.C.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Southern Conference Championships kicked off on Friday morning in Asheville, North Carolina. The nine-team conference tournament was completed through the championship semifinals on day one, and continues with placement matches on day two.
After the first rounds of action, it’s Appalachian State leading the team race with 52.5 points, and four finalists. Kaden Keiser (149), Will Miller (165), Lucas Uliano (174) and Stephan Monchery (285).
Following closely behind in second are two teams, both with 49.5 team points. Campbell has three finalists in Shannon Hanna (141), Chris Earnest (157) and Levi Hopkins (197). The Citadel leads with five finalists: Gylon Sims (125), Carson DesRosier (149), Thomas Snipes (165), Patrick Brophy (197) and Jonathan Chesser (285).
Each qualifying tournament was awarded pre-allocations to the national tournament based on regular season performance by conference wrestlers through February 23. The Southern Conference was awarded 13 pre-allocations.
