Indian Hills leads team race, pushes 14 to semifinals after first day of NJCAA Women’s National Championships

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – The 2025 NJCAA National Championships kicked off in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Friday. The tournament continues on Saturday morning, beginning with the championship semifinals.

Indian Hills is a two-time NJCAA Women’s Invitational Champion and looks to repeat this weekend. The team has 14 in the semifinals after the first day of action.

Chasey Karabell (103), Alycia Perez (103), Ariah Mervilus (110), Emmalyn Burnett (117), Madison Leverknight (117), Angelica Vicente (124), Amaria Ridgner (131), Ruth Jimenez (138), Genesis Gilmore (145), Olivia Stean (160), Kali Hayden (180), Paola Rodriguez (180), Wyntergale Oxendine (207) and Kennedi Washington (235) advanced to the semifinals for Indian Hills.

Snow sits in second place in the team race following the quarterfinal round. Kinlee Brandley (103), Rachel Jones (110) and Isabella Morgan (145) are Snow’s wrestlers in the semifinals.

In third place is Iowa Western with 141.5 points and Mia Siqueiros (103), Molly Sek (110), Hailey Medina (117), Rosalia Rubio (117), Daeja Sundquist (138), Julia Chambers (138) and Ayana Fletcher (160) in the semifinals.

Iowa Central, currently sitting in fourth place with 137 points, has been a favorite entering this tournament. The Tritons have four in the semifinals in Aniyah Dinwiddie (124), Avery Mohr (131), Alexis Ross (138) and Delise Villa (145).

The tournament continues on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. CT.
