An exciting new program, USA Wrestling’s Women’s Freestyle Regional Development Camps, launches in Troy, N.Y., March 28-30, with the Northeast Regional Camp.

2024 Olympic gold medalist Amit Elor will be the featured instructor for the Northeast camp, which will be hosted at the Curby Training Center.

Elor is one of the most exciting young wrestling stars in the world. In addition to her gold-medal performance at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, Elor has also won two Senior World gold medals (2022, 2023). She has accumulated six age-group World gold medals, with three U20 World titles, two U23 World titles and a U17 World title. Elor also added a 2019 U17 Beach World title to her impressive resume.

This camp series has been developed and launched by USA Wrestling’s National Women’s Developmental Coach Jessica Medina. Motivated young women athletes ages 13-18 are encouraged to register for these amazing educational opportunities

The camps will be commuter camps, each three days in length. For the 2025 season, six Regional camps will be hosted between March-May.  Each camp will be scheduled over a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Each camp will feature a highly-qualified USA Wrestling National Team member as a clinician, and will also include a lead coach from USA Wrestling’s National Volunteer Coaching Pool or the National Women’s staff. Each camp will cover a standardized curriculum.

At this point, the Western Women’s Freestyle Regional Development Camp has been finalized, set for April 11-13 at Sierra Linda High School in Phoenix, Ariz., led by two-time Olympian and two-time World silver medalist Kayla Miracle.

  • Generate opportunities for WFS National Team, World, and Olympic Team members.
