The 2025 NCAA Div. I National Championships concluded on Saturday night, as 80 athletes across the country were celebrated for achieving NCAA All-American status, while 10 champions were crowned.

Of the 80 NCAA All-Americans, 37 (46.25%) have represented Team USA internationally at an Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan American Championships, and/or Pan American Games at both the Senior level and age-group level.

The weight class with the most All-Americans that have a connection to Team USA was 285 pounds. Entering the tournament, 13 wrestlers in the 285-pound bracket had competed international for the United States, including six age-group/Senior World champions and one Senior National Team member, Cohlton Schultz of Arizona State.

Seven NCAA National champions have experience wrestling for Team USA, Lucas Byrd of Illinois (133, Greco-Roman), Jesse Mendez of Ohio State (141, Men’s freestyle), Ridge Lovett of Nebraska (149, Greco-Roman), Antrell Taylor of Nebraska (157, Men’s freestyle), Mitchell Mesenbrink of Penn State (165, Men’s freestyle), Carter Starocci of Penn State (184, Men’s freestyle) and Wyatt Hendrickson of Oklahoma State (285, Men’s freestyle).
