Bronze - Aaron Brooks (USA) dec. Javrail Shapiev (Uzbekistan), 5-0
Bronze - Dauren Kurugliev (Greece) dec. Myles Amine (San Marino), 5-4

57 kg women's freestyle bronze match - Helen Maroulis (USA) pin Hannah Taylor (Canada), 0:24
Maroulis went into a fireman's carry, getting Taylor to her back for the pin at 24 seconds! She becomes the first-ever three-time women's freestyle Olympic medalist for the United States!!
This is the second bronze for Maroulis, as she adds to her bronze at the Tokyo Games in 2021. Her first Olympic medal was a gold at the Rio Games in 2016.

86 kg Men’s Freestyle bronze match – Aaron Brooks (USA) dec. Javrail Shapiev (Uzbekistan), 5-0
Shapiev put on shot clock and does not score, 1-0 for Brooks. That’s the score at the break.
Brooks quickly forces a step out early in second period to lead 2-0. Brooks is put on the shot clock. He hits a sweet blast double to lead 4-0, wiping out clock. Another double for a step out, 5-0 Brooks. Brooks holds strong and bout ends, 5-0. Bronze Medal for Aaron Brooks!!!

57 kg Men’s Freestyle gold medal –Rei Higuchi (Japan) dec. Spencer Lee (USA), 4-2
Lee put on the shot clock, but forces a step out to take a 1-0 lead, wiping out shot clock. During an active exchange, Lee gets another step out, 2-0. We go to the break with Lee winning 2-0.
A wild scramble ends up with Higuchi getting a takedown to tie it at 2-2 and take criteria. Lee tries a last-second throw that Higuchi counters for takedown, 4-2. Higuchi wins gold, Lee takes silver.

During the 62 kg women’s freestyle semifinals, three-time World champion Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan was upset by Iryna Koliadenko of Ukraine, 9-2. This eliminates Kayla Miracle of the USA, who lost to Tynybekova in the quarterfinals. Only losers to finalists are eligible for repechage.

Dake grabs an ankle and scores takedown, 2-0. Takatani on leg shot, Takatani gets exposure, Dake gets reversal for two, Takatani gets reversal, 4-3. Takatani gets takedown 5-4, then two turns, 9-4 for Takatani.
Dake gets a takedown and a turn, 9-8. Dake gets two points, Takatani gets two points on reversal, Takatani gets an ankle lace twice to make it 15-10. Looks like Dake tilts Takatani twice from a counter, but no points awarded when stopped at 4.2 seconds left. Officials say 19-12, USA challenges but it is lost. 20-12 is the final score. Dake to go for bronze.
