USA Wrestling Folkstyle Tour of America continues with Salt Lake Slam

HERRIMAN, Utah – The USA Wrestling Folkstyle Tour of America continued with the fourth event in the series, the Salt Lake Slam in Herriman, Utah.

Folkstyle tournaments were held in the 8U, 10U, 12U and Middle School age categories for boys and girls in an open division. Awards were presented to the top six wrestlers in each bracket and athletes earned points for the U.S. Future Olympian Rankings.

Outstanding Wrestlers of the Salt Lake Slam included Oakley Newby of Westlake WC (8U Boys, 53 lbs.), Tilly Kunze of Salem Elite Mat Club (8U Girls, 53-55 lbs.), Saul Heist-Levine of Bozeman WC (10U Boys, 77 lbs.), Adeline Sharp of Uintah Girls Wrestling (10U Girls, 62 lbs.), Julian Lawrence of Red Wave Wrestling (12U Boys, 70 lbs.), Scout Stephens of Sanderson Wrestling Academy (12U Girls, 98-108 lbs.), Isaac Garcia of Pomona WC Colorado (Middle School Boys, 110 lbs.) and Maya Rodriguez of Dominate Club Wrestling (Middle School Girls, 105 lbs.).
