Jeffrey R. Waters, CFP®, appointed as Development Team Leader for USA Wrestling’s Women’s Freestyle Team

USA Wrestling is pleased to announce that Jeffrey R. Waters, CFP®, has been appointed as a Development Team Leader for the Women’s Freestyle Team. Team leaders serve as an essential part of the delegation when a U.S. team travels to a World Championship and also provide mentorship and support to our elite athletes.
Waters, an esteemed financial planner and dedicated advocate for wrestling, will bring his extensive leadership experience to this pivotal role.
Waters is the President of OFC Financial Planning, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor firm that offers comprehensive financial planning and investment management services. Before founding OFC in 2005, he enjoyed a successful 17-year career on Wall Street, including serving as Associate Director of U.S. Equity Research at Salomon Smith Barney.
In the wrestling community, Waters co-founded and serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United States Wrestling Foundation. This organization supports and promotes amateur wrestling in the U.S. He also plays a key role as a leader and Steward for USA Wrestling’s Living the Dream Medal Fund, which provides financial awards to American wrestlers who achieve success on the world stage.
Waters holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Yale University, where he was a member of the varsity wrestling team. He subsequently earned an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Waters expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I am honored to join USA Wrestling and contribute to the growth of women’s freestyle wrestling. I look forward to working with these talented athletes and helping them achieve their highest goals.”
Jeffrey Waters will officially assume his duties as Development Team Leader on July 15, 2024.
