Alexandria Alli (Ashley, Ohio/Elite Accelerator Program) has been named the USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare, on February 19, 2025.

At the 2025 Klippan Lady Open, Alli won gold in the Senior division. She opened the tournament 1-1 on Friday, falling to Elvira Ersson of Sweden, 12-4, then pinning Faith Telford of Canada in 3:59. This performance qualified her for the semifinals.

On Sunday, Alli won two close matches, beating Lilly Schneider of Germany, 2-1 in the semifinals, then edging Jennifer Rosler of Germany, 5-4 in the gold medal match.

Alli is a member of USA Wrestling’s Elite Accelerator Program (EAP), where they train at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

This is the second Athlete of the Week honor for Alli in 2025, following her performance at the Grand View Open where she defeated highly ranked college athletes, including Caitlyn Davis of William Penn, a 2024 U20 World Team member and 2024 NAIA national champion for Southern Oregon.

To nominate a wrestler for this honor please email the athlete's name, wrestling program, weekly accomplishments, and career accolades to communications@usawrestling.org.
