LOUTRAKI, Greece – The freestyle draws have officially been announced for the 2021 Veterans World Championships, which begin Tuesday. The draws for all five freestyle divisions were announced. Divisions B and E will wrestle on Tuesday, Divisions C and D hit the mat on Wednesday, while Thursday will conclude the freestyle action with Division A. Greco-Roman wrestling will begin on Friday.

A total of 40 U.S. freestyle wrestlers received their draw on Monday. Veterans athletes are 35 through 60 years old, with five different age groups competing in total.

Four former Veterans World champions will be competing starting Tuesday. Dan Chaid of San Jose, Calif. leads the way for Team USA, looking to become a back-to-back champion. The former NCAA champion from Oklahoma won Veterans World titles in 2000 and 2019. He will compete at 130 kg in Division E. He is joined by Octavius Bellamy of Bollingbrook, Ill. (88 kg, Div. C), Petros Petrosyn of Los Almanitos, Calif. (88 kg, Div. E) and Kevin Pine of Aberdeen, Wash. (88 kg, Div. D).

Wrestling begins each day at 10:30 a.m. in Loutraki, which is seven hours ahead of U.S. eastern time. The event can be watched live on FloWrestling.
