Register for Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase
There will be registration caps in place in Des Moines. There will only be a combined 1,900 entries allowed in the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase, as well as the 9th-10th grade boys and 11th-12th grade boys divisions of the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals. Therefore, all high school boys, regardless of tournament entered, are encouraged to register right away to guarantee your spot in this outstanding event.
Last year was the first year that the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase was held alongside the Brian Keck Preseason Nationals, and the quality of the competition was excellent. The boys compete in folkstyle at the Showcase, which is the style in which they wrestle in college. (The Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase is in the spring, and is in their college style, which is freestyle).
Among the champions last year was Mack Mauger of Idaho (113), who was a 2022 Junior Triple Crown winner, and Jackzen Rairdon of Colorado (120), both who became two-time Showcase champions with their victories. The event was loaded with nationally ranked athletes, USA Wrestling national champions and All-Americans and dozens of state high school champions.
Every year, USA Wrestling keeps a running list of state champions who enter the Showcase, and last year, there were over 65 state champions in the field. USA Wrestling will begin tracking the state champions who have registered soon.
This event is perfect for clubs and high school teams. Athletes who qualify for the Showcase can enter that division, while teammates who do not qualify can enter the Brian Keck Preseason Nationals, either in the Grade 11-12 or the Grade 9-10 age levels. Everybody on the team will get a great competition that will be a good test and get them prepared for the high school season ahead.
Wrestlers competing in the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase, as well as the two high school divisions of the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals, can register and weigh in either Thursday night October 26 or Friday morning October 27.
