Answer: Victoria Anthony of Simon Fraser, who won her fourth WCWA Nationals title in 2014, competing at 109 pounds. The event was held at Missouri Baptist University. Later that day, her teammate Helen Maroulis also won a fourth WCWA title, wrestling at 130 pounds.
3. Who was the first U.S. women’s wrestling Olympic medalist who competed on both a women’s college team and a men’s college team?
Answer: Sara McMann, who wrestled for UM-Morris’ women’s team and Lock Haven’s men’s team and went on to win a silver medal at 62 kg at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
