Iowa PBS’s College Wrestling to feature dual between Nebraska-Kearney and Grand View on Thursday, January 16

Johnston, Iowa — Iowa PBS’s College Wrestling will broadcast an upcoming dual meet between the University of Nebraska-Kearney Lopers and the Grand View University Vikings. This dual meet will broadcast Thursday, January 16 at 7 p.m. Viewers can also watch via livestream or YouTube.
In this matchup, DII NCAA powerhouse University of Nebraska-Kearney comes to NAIA stronghold Grand View in hopes of winning their second straight dual meet between the teams. The schools last met on February 1, 2024, with University of Nebraska-Kearney winning 18-17. Grand View won the prior two dual meets between the schools. Along with exceptional coverage of College Wrestling, on the call will be legendary duo Tim “The Voice of College Wrestling” Johnson and NCAA Division III champion coach Jim Miller.
Johnson has covered more than 300 wrestling meets for Iowa PBS, ESPN and the Big Ten Network. In 2007, he was named broadcaster of the year by the National Wrestling Media Association. In 2009, he was named journalist of the year by Wrestling Insider News.
Miller is a 10-time NCAA Division III champion coach for Wartburg College and a five-time National Coach of the Year. He coached 37 individual national champions, 147 All-Americans and 72 NWCA Academic All-Americans at Wartburg. Miller received the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award from the Iowa Chapter of the Hall of Fame in 2001. He was inducted into the Wartburg Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019.
College Wrestling on Iowa PBS will also feature the following dual meets*:
- Tuesday, January 21: Loras College vs. Coe College
- Thursday, January 30: Augsburg University vs. Wartburg College
- Thursday, February 6: Central College vs. Luther College
- Tuesday, February 11: William Penn University vs. Grand View University Women
